Good Reads: Pirate Vishnu

Pirate Vishnu (Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt Mystery, #2)Pirate Vishnu by Gigi Pandian
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pirate Vishnu is the second book in the Jaya Jones Treasure Hunt Mystery series. It is a very well edited and well written novel.

Historian Jaya Jones receives a treasure map supposedly drawn by her great granduncle in the early twentieth century. The treasure hunt soon turns into a homicide investigation with Jaya stuck right in the middle. She also finds herself in a love triangle; a very frustrating and confusing love triangle.

These books are not only entertaining mysteries, but are filled with historical facts. Amusement and education all rolled into one. The characters are completely developed and entertaining, and the plot fast paced and unpredictable.

While this book can be read as a standalone, I suggest that you read the series in order. I highly recommend Pirate Vishnu to people that enjoy independent heroines, mysteries, and history.
